New London Homeless Hospitality Center

The Homeless Hospitality Center is a place of safety and welcome to adults facing homelessness in southeastern Connecticut. About 600 people will seek help this year. HHC welcomes every individual as their guest at their shelter and Daytime Hospitality Center on State Pier Road in New London.

HartBeat Ensemble

Founded in 2001, HartBeat Ensemble’s mission is to create provocative theater that connects the community beyond traditional barriers of race, gender, class and geography. HartBeat Ensemble is the only institution in Hartford that is consistently using theater to speak powerfully across different generations, races, populations and interest groups. As an ensemble of artist-activists, they create as well as present innovative productions based on critical civic issues. HartBeat offers audiences the chance to experience and respond to the work they have just seen through live performance and guided conversations. HartBeat’s original, full-length creative works, including the award-winning Flipside, the critically acclaimed Jimmy & Lorraine, and this year’s sold-out hit Pegao by Ensemble member Cin Martinez. HartBeat continues to inspire the next generation of leaders to create change for a better world through its Youth Play Institute. 

Creative Living Community Connecticut

CLCC seeks to create a shared, inclusive living experience for individuals with and without developmental disabilities in a farm community, by focusing upon the gifts of all in mutually rewarding relationships. The farm community is the key element of the vision. People with and without a disability interact by living together, working together and socializing together.

100 Million USA

The 100 Million campaign is a youth-led call to action for a world where all young people are free, safe and educated. They support young people in mobilizing to end violence against children, eradicate child labor, and ensure education, breaking the cycles of illiteracy, poverty and violence for good.

Desegregate CT

Desegregate CT is a Pro-Homes coalition of neighbors and nonprofits advocating for better local & state land use policies to make every community in Connecticut more prosperous, equitable, and sustainable.

Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation

Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation envisions a world where every child is free, safe, healthy and educated. Their mission is to protect child rights through holistically tackling violence against children to ensure their safety, rehabilitation, education and health. They want to move forward with promulgation and implementation of Global and National Policies by addressing data and evidence gaps in child protection, education, health and nutrition through extensive research, public engagement and outreach.
